In cement preheaters, ceramic inner tubes have become the preferred solution for key parts (such as cyclones, heat exchange pipes, decomposition furnaces, etc.) due to their excellent wear resistance, high temperature resistance, and chemical corrosion resistance.

When selecting, it is necessary to comprehensively consider the operating temperature, corrosiveness, and cost budget. Silicon carbide ceramics should be promoted in high-temperature and high-wear areas (such as C4-C5 and decomposition furnaces) first, and high-aluminum ceramics can be used in medium and low temperature sections. Silicon carbide ceramics have the best comprehensive performance but high cost, and high-aluminum ceramics have better cost performance.

In cement preheaters, the heat-resistant steel inner cylinder is an important component between ordinary metals and ceramics. It is suitable for medium and high temperature sections (such as C3-C5 grade cyclones or heat exchange pipes) and must meet the requirements of high temperature resistance, oxidation resistance and certain wear resistance.

Heat-resistant steel inner cylinder still has irreplaceable advantages under 800-1100℃ working conditions, and is particularly suitable for production lines with frequent start-stop or large mechanical vibration. When the temperature exceeds 1150℃, it is recommended to transition to a ceramic-metal composite structure.
